GeoServer 1.4.x

GeoServer 1.4 is focused on bringing a more modular structure to GeoServer. The work is going forth right now, with a milestone release hopefully mid-June. Though there are many improvements that could be made, we're holding the scope to a small subset, so that there's not as much upheaval all at once. The end results, even of this small round, should be quite nice, using the latest technologies like Spring to make GeoServer easier to extend. The other piece is to update the build system, as the ant files are getting less maintainable, and maven offers several advantages. See [GEOSDEV:Home] for the lastest information.
