Windows

Download the Windows Installer.

Linux

Download the package for your distribution.

Installation

Windows

  1. Run the Windows Installer downloaded in the previous section.
  2. Navigate through the installer accepting the defaults.

Linux

Installation instructions vary depending on distribution. Consult the documentation for your specific distribution.

Configuration

Important

You must use the attached config file. It ensures that newlines are handled correctly by subversion across platforms. Without it you will suffer conflicts when you commit.

Windows

Copy the attached config file to: C:\Documents and Settings\ %USERID% \Application Data\Subversion\config

You will need to have view system folders turned on to see "Application Data" in explorer. You'll also need to create the subversion folder.

Linux

Copy the attached config file to: ~/.subversion/config
