The net provides other sources of informations about OGC services that may help you to get started on OGC services. Here is an incomplete list, if you know more, please contact us.

  • The Penn State Open Web Mapping course material is available online. This is a full course on OGC web services, with in depth explanations of the protocols, with samples about Geoserver and MapBuilder. If you're new to OGC services, this is the document you want to read.
  • The MASSGIS wiki, where you'll find lots of documentation and examples about WMS, WFS and SLD.
  • Refractions has quite an extensive introduction to the ins an outs of the WFS protocol, with detailed explainations and samples.
